Currently we are seeking individuals with previous oilfield experience who are interested in training to become H2S Safety Supervisors and Safety Technicians. The primary role is managing work areas containing H2S, confined spaces and many others. You would be responsible for managing and operating a breathing air trailer and supporting equipment for various operations.

Successful candidates will go through extensive training to learn how to properly carry out tasks including, but not limited to:

  • Always encourage and illustrate a positive safety culture
  • Engage in onsite safety meetings and emphasizing on specific hazards
  • Safely Operating and maintaining equipment including but not limited to Air trailers, SCAB, SABA and Stand-Alone Air Monitoring Equipment as per company procedures
  • Completing and submitting all required paperwork in a timely manor
  • Educate workers on site regarding the potentials for H2S exposure at each location
  • Testing the environment for H2S gas presence
  • Creating rescue plans for each job site
  • Executing and leading rescue plans in the event of an emergency
  • Monitoring workers using SCBA and SABA equipment
  • Confined Space Monitoring
  • Plant Turnaround Activities

Required Qualities

  • Must be able to perform rescue of a worker
  • Must be able to pass “pre-employment”
  • Must have minimum 4-5 years of oilfield experience (operations, flow back, testing, completions etc.)

Required Certificates

  • Class 5 Drivers License, and clean drivers abstract
  • Current H2S Alive Ticket
  • Current First Aid Ticket
  • Current Confined Space Entry & Rescue
  • Current Common Safety Orientation
  • Flammable Gas Detection & Control

Oilfield Emergency Medical Responder – AB and BC

Currently we are looking to fill EMR roles to work in the oil and gas sector, working onsite for project by project work. We do offer health and dental after 3 months of employment and very competitive wages.

We offer EMR Onsite Services and also a combined role of EMR/Admin.

Qualifications/Duties:

  • EMR Certificate for Alberta and BC Required
  • Valid unrestricted Licence with ACP
  • Class 5 Licence (Drivers Abstract Required)
  • Demonstrates professionalism at all times
  • Provide medical aid in an emergency, keeping within the EMR scope of training
  • Keep a well maintain vehicle and MTC Unit and ensure all medical equipment is clean and checked regularly for any deficiencies.
  • Address areas of concern immediately to Phoenix Management Team
  • Complete regular inventory checks and ensure all medical supplies are up to date.
  • Maintain a high level of safety, address all health and safety issues immediately
  • Ensure all proper paperwork is fill out to the fullest
  • Understand complete layout of project site.
  • Ability to work a shift schedule of 24 on/4 days off (Shifts vary with each project)
  • Administration competencies word, excel, email
  • Ability to prioritize, high rate of accuracy and consistency
  • Provide Field Supervisor with up-to-date cost of projects
  • Identify change order requirements and ensure accuracy on charge rates
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
